Azure Michamvi is a collection of 93 garden, beachfront and overwater villas within an integrated five-star resort on the Michamvi Peninsula. Each villa is acquired as a professionally managed resort asset and participates in the managed rental pool.

Azure will appoint an international five-star hotel operator, while owners receive 14 complimentary nights of personal use per year.

AZURE Michamvi was introduced as an all-villa resort on the Michamvi Peninsula. The project brings together 93 garden, beachfront and overwater villas, including 16 overwater residences, within a carefully planned coastal resort.

Building permit secured for our exclusive beachfront villas

Securing the building permit marked an important milestone for AZURE Michamvi and allowed the project to move into its construction phase. The project is planned as a collection of garden, beachfront and overwater villas within an integrated resort on the Michamvi Peninsula.

Completion of the resort’s common areas is currently planned for Q2 2027, subject to the approved construction programme and applicable project documentation. This phase includes the shared spaces planned for guests and owners across the resort.

What happens if I want to resell my villa?

Villas in Zanzibar can be resold at any time. Our team can assist with marketing your property to our network of international buyers, ensuring proper exposure and a seamless transfer of the leasehold and rental pool agreements.

Can I use my villa personally?

Yes. Owners may use their villa for up to 14 days each year, subject to the booking conditions set out in the Rental Pool Agreement. When you are not in residence, your villa is operated as part of the hotel inventory.

What is the rental pool program?

At AZURE Michamvi, every villa forms part of a mandatory rental pool and is operated as hotel inventory. The operator manages bookings, marketing, guest stays, and day to day operations. Revenue is shared in accordance with the Rental Pool Agreement.

How many residences are available for purchase?

AZURE Michamvi is a private collection of 93 coastal residences, including overwater, beachfront, and garden villas. Your AZURE consultant can provide current availability and pricing upon request.

When will Azure Michamvi be completed?

Construction completion is currently planned for Q4 2027, with hotel operations planned to commence in Q1 2028. These dates are based on the current programme and will be updated if the programme changes.

What are the taxes and fees when buying property in Zanzibar?

The final purchase amount and any applicable furniture, registration, and legal costs are set out in the Sales Particulars for your selected villa. Your AZURE consultant will take you through each item before reservation.

Can foreigners buy property in Zanzibar?

International purchasers may acquire a residence under the project's title and lease structure, subject to the applicable legal framework. Your AZURE consultant will explain the purchase documents and lease provisions before reservation.
